An Exciting Week

Friends,

The past week has been an exciting one. Our campaign secured key endorsements, won the support of local Democratic Party delegates, and held our Neighborhood Team kick off that was attended by over 80 volunteers and community leaders.

Today, I am proud to announce that we have been endorsed by the Sierra Club. My long history of working to protect the environment and building coalitions to get things done on important issues like renewable energy, coastal protection and alternative transportation are a few of the reasons the Sierra Club is supporting our campaign.

Winning the support of the Sierra Club is the latest in a series of great developments in the campaign. This past week, we also received the endorsements of the Democratic Women of Santa Barbara County, the Progressive Democrats of Santa Barbara, the Dolores Huerta Santa Barbara County Young Democrats, and PUEBLO Action Fund.

Last Saturday, local Democratic Party delegates voted overwhelmingly to support my candidacy. This vote is proof of the grassroots strength of this campaign and sends a powerful message that voters want new leadership, with a proven record of getting results on the issues like education, fixing our budgets and getting the economy back on track.

We followed up this success with our Neighborhood Team kick-off last Sunday, where over 80 volunteer leaders joined with other supporters in their neighborhoods to organize for Das.

I am honored to have the support of so many community members and organizations. If you haven't done so already, please join our grassroots team today to bring innovative leadership and a renewed commitment to our values to Sacramento.

Thank you for your support,

Das
